How to find a good player for your team.
Every year after the season ends, the representatives of the clubs/teams meet up to discuss the upcoming season. They talk about the amount of the budget which they will have, are negotiating with old sponsors and searching for new ones. They have a chat with current players about their ideas for the upcoming season, if they were satisfied with the players they might talk about the possible extension of each player contract. When the club is not satisfied with the players, they look for new ones which would fulfill the financial and performance criteria of the team. In every club there is a person which is charged to find new players and most of the time it is the manager or the coach himself who puts up his new team which he wants to lead during the season.
How to get good, reliable and team players ?
1.Financial opportunities and goals
It is very important to determine what type of player does the team need on a certain position. How much money for that player can the team afford to allocate. That is why it is useful to know the amount of the budget before signing contracts with players, it is important to properly redistribute money and strengthen the team on correct positions with correct players. It is necessary to determine what is the objective of a team for the upcoming season, or any other season, what the team wants to achieve and according to that choose players.
2.Where to search?
Teams start to look for the players they know and were satisfied with them, then the players which get recommendations from other players, coaches, managers. They often addresses agents and a large agencies with the requirements of the players. It is up to agents and agencies to find a player which is suitable for the team and send them there. It attracts more players and will send offers to clubs from which the club can choose. If they find a player who would meet the criteria, the agency will start to communicate about the conditions and seek appropriate way for him to become part of a new team. The agency must prepare the player for everything waiting for him in the club, they must meet and try to fulfill the conditions whether of a player or the club in which he will operate. It is important that the agent / agency will know as much information about the players as possible and are able to submit it to the club. Must know his health condition, his past, must know his personality and whether he would fit into the team, only cooperation will work.
3.Check-in with ex-clubs
Agents are often associated with previous clubs of concrete player and asks for references of player. They ask about his performance, injuries and how did the player feature in the club, whether he is easygoing, how he handles difficult situations, whether he is a team player, how did he get on with the coach and his overall acting. These information should serve as additional, because one has to take in mind the cultural differences, differences in character and respect the individuality of a person. In the previous team the player could not be satisfied with the approach of the club, the coach didnĀ“t suit him, method of trainings and behaved completely different how he would for example behave in a different team surrounded by different people.
4.Statistics and a video
Confidentially check the statistics and video from the previous season, ask for more matches. You need to keep in mind in what league has the player played, against what teams he played and according to these facts evaluate the video or statistics. Not always, does the video reveal what you need to know, but try to look into it whether the player might be appropriate or not. Firstly, it is good to view a short video of a player and later when the player addresses you, ask for the whole game, and find out both of his strengths and weaknesses.
5. Tryout
If you are not sure whether the player is really suitable the only option is to invite him for a tryout to your team. Or the possibility to invite more players at once and find out how the player /players are on it and whether they would come in handy. You will avoid any confusion and you will find out the players performance after the season and whether he is not on a long-term injury. When meeting in person you would be able to talk about the conditions and select the best candidate for you. Personal contact is always a good option.
Good luck in finding suitable candidates.
